Sammy A. Nunez, Executive Director

Our Executive Director, Sammy Nunez is a state and nationally recognized expert in the field of youth development and responsible fatherhood. As an alumnus of a fatherhood development program in Northern California and a past coordinator of a nationally recognized Male Involvement and Male Responsibility program, Sammy has the unique background of being a participant and success story of the type of services offered through grassroots youth and fatherhood development programs.

With an impressive portfolio of key-note presentations, conferences and training, Sammy has an extensive knowledge and a profound understanding of working with young men and fathers.

FFSJ is a progressive, solutions oriented, non-profit organization that wants to turn the hearts of the community back to the children.

FFSJ consistently works to address the varying needs of men, fathers, their families and communities by providing socially relevant and culturally sensitive services, developing local leadership, unifying the efforts of exiting groups and addressing critical problems affecting the community.

FFSJ will provide support for men, women, children and their families by embracing our basic core values.

Motecuzoma P. Sanchez, ESPINO Chair

Motecuzoma Patrick Sanchez is currently the Chairman of ESPINO. He is a native Stocktonian and graduate of Lincoln High School and Delta College. He is currently enrolled at Sac State in pursuit of his BA degree. A proud father, he is also involved with FFSJ and an active organizer in the community. A former Marine and Veteran of Iraqi Freedom, he was a Candidate for Mayor of Stockton in 2008 and SJDC Board of Trustees. He is dedicated to improving his community and empowering the youth to be the leaders of tomorrow, today. " If you are not part of the Solution, you are the problem.The first act of Revolution is to change the mind".

James T. Walsh, Operations

James Walsh comes to us with an extensive and diverse background. Besides working varied positions within the construction industry, James has 20 years experience in theatrical/performing arts production and management and television and film production. James also has developed computer and internet skills that include website design and management, listserv administration, desktop publishing, and project coordination. James is now embarking on an effort to organize youth for social justice and education equity in the Central Valley of California. James has developed vast and extensive knowledge and contacts within the entire statewide and national social justice movements.
